| Description: | Canberra Festival ballet School presents its Gala Performance of 2008 featuring the full length ballet "Napoli." Set in Naples, the ballet is the story of the beautiful Teresina, who is thought to be drowned after she is washed to sea in a storm. She is however rescued by the King of under the sea, Golfo, and brought to life as a Mermaid of the Blue Grotto. Finally she is rescued by her true love, Gennano, who takes her back to her people in napoli for a vibrant and colourful wedding celebration. This ballet is couple with the jazz tap and singing excitement of "Tribute to OZ." |
