Performances by Ausdance ACT for Youth Dance Festival, originally scheduled for 6–10 September have been postponed because Canberra is in lockdown. This is the second year that Youth Dance Festival has been disrupted by COVID-19, and we’re working closely with Ausdance ACT to reschedule these performances, so that the young people of our region have an outlet for their creative, truthful and imaginative selves. In 2020, for the first time in 35 years Youth Dance Festival was cancelled. In 2021 we are thrilled to announce that our iconic Youth Dance Festival will go ahead. With a theme of Digital Dystopia Utopia, Ausdance ACT presents a multimedia delivery of film and live performance. Providing students with the opportunity to engage in dance filmmaking and to meet the challenges of a brave new world where we are connected out of necessity through technology. Dance Fest provides a platform for young people to express their idea and opinions, to have their voices heard through dance. Our aim is to encourage and empower the young people of our region to find their creative, truthful and imaginative selves. Come along and hear what they have to say.

Seating
At Canberra Theatre Centre, safety is our priority. We operate in accordance with our COVID Safety Plan.

Our theatre will be operating at 100% capacity and our regular seating configuration is in place in the auditorium. You will be sitting next to other patrons in the theatre.

Please remain in your allocated seat during the performance.

Please move through the foyers and open spaces with physical distancing considerations in mind.
