PRIDE AND PREJUDICE (sort of) is finally heading Down Under.
Direct from its triumph in the West End where it won the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Comedy, Pride and Prejudice* (*sort of) is a unique and audacious retelling of Jane Austen’s most iconic love story. Men, money and microphones will be fought over in this irreverent but affectionate adaptation where the stakes couldn’t be higher when it comes to romance.
This “smart, laugh out loud funny” (Daily Telegraph) show features a string of pop classics including ‘Young Hearts Run Free’, ‘Will You Love Me Tomorrow’ and ‘You’re So Vain’.
Coming to Australia for the first time, five fearless women bring Austen’s world of love, class and chaos to life with heart, humour and unstoppable energy in this modern take on one of the world’s most adapted pieces of literature

This September, QT Canberra trades its usual mischief for Regency manners, in partnership with Canberra Theatre Centre. Expect lavish florals, a Pride & Prejudice-inspired QTea High Tea, and just enough scandal to keep Mr Darcy interested.
Before the 1:30pm curtain call, settle into The QT Lounge with a cup of tea and a bite, the perfect pre-matinee affair.
Begin with a tiered affair, full to the brim with wild mushroom croquettes and king prawn tartlet. Freshly baked scones arrive piled high with rosewater cream and jam, one glorious cake from the wandering cake trolley, alongside a flowing milk chocolate fountain for good measure.
And for those who never could resist a little more, the roaming cake trolley makes its rounds, laden with Space Kitchen’s Elizabeth Bennet strawberry mousse, lychee jelly and vanilla sponge cake and the Mr Darcy Roasted hazelnut praline, Nutella mousse, crisp crepe crunch and chocolate sponge cake with your name on it.
