MAKS Ballet Studio’s, under the directorship of former International and Sydney Dance Company dancers, Matthew and Katherine Shilling, love to wrap up the year with something straight out of fantasy! Featuring professionally choreographed routines from our talented faculty, stunning costumes and hosted in Canberra’s most prestigious theatre Canberra Theatre Centre, you will be transported into a fairy tale land in the The Glass Slipper before being amazed by the vibrancy of our second Act Showcase. ACT 1 Cinderella dreams of dancing in a beautiful ball gown at the Royal Ball but is enslaved and kept in rags by her wicked stepmother and two jealous stepsisters. That is, until her fairy godmother appears and with a little bit of magic makes her dreams come to life. At the ball, Cinderella enchants the handsome Prince Charming, but when the midnight clock strikes the magic fades and she must face the wrath of her enraged stepmother and sisters. What will come of Cinderella now? ACT 2 The fun continues with MAKS Ballet Studio’s Showcase. With pieces choreographed by the talented faculty, our students come together in a dazzling performance demonstrating their passion, dedication and artistry. The result is an enthralling exhibition, exploring all different styles of dance.

ACT 1
